Missing Days Report

By the help of the Missing Days Report, you can check that the selected user(s) or group(s) have enough work logged between the given dates. You can send warning emails to selected users.

This feature helps you when there is a very strict rule applied for time tracking in the company.

Normally, all users have to fill at least as much working time (hours) for each working day as is set in the Jira "Time Tracking" settings. In case a user did not work as much time as expected, they can use the configured non-working issues to fill the day. If there is no worklog for a day it will be shown in the "Missing days" tab of the plugin.

How to use

  1. You can search by users and/or groups.
  2. You can add the start and end date of the interval with the Date Range Picker.
  3. If the second checkbox is checked, the query will exclude the non-working issues. (info) This option will be present only if non-working issues are configured in the settings.
  4. The query is executed after pressing the Create Report button.

Results

In the result, each row represents one user and every row contains the following:

  • Checkbox: Use this option to select who you want to send a warning letter.
  • Username: The queried user.
  • Status: The queried user has or does not have enough work logged between the given dates.
    • If there is no missing worklog, then the green OK will appear.
    • If there are days with a lack of expected worklogs, the red Detail button will appear. Clicking on this, the list of the days and missing hours will be displayed.

Warning Email

You can select individual users or all at once with the "Select All" button who you want to send a warning letter about the lack of worklogs. The email will include the dates and the missing amount of hours for that user.

You must have the "Permission to send notification emails about missing days" permission to use this feature.
