By default, Feature Score has the "None" value , (which is not a calculated value) and the "Dont calculate" box will be checked, so for the first time the field wont be displayed on the Issue screen.

To make the field appear on the screen, you need to initialize the score value parameters in the Edit Isse screen and uncheck the "Don't calculate" field.

If you can not see the previously configured Feature Score field, make sure that you meet all the prerequisites.

View your Score

You can see immadeiately your feature's value on the Issue screen based on it's score and color.

Score value

The Score will determine the value of your feature based on your business metrics. It will be calculated based on the following equation:

( (parameter * multiplier) + (parameter * multiplier) + ... ) (parameter * score multiplier.) )

You can easily configure your feature score custom field by adding any number of business metrics as parameters and their weight as multipliers. The total score can be also weighted by one "score multiplier".

Color

The Score value color is depending on whether the higher or the lower is configured as the better. The colors represent the following categories:Depending on the ranking (higher/lower is better) configuration and based on the range of possible scores, the add-on will classify the features into four categories. The categories are shown by colors and by default have the following meanings:

  • RED: Best left alone (lowest 25% of the scores),
  • YELLOW: Low priority,
  • BLUE: Medium priority,
  • GREEN: High priority (highest 25% of the scores).
