On this page, you can learn more about how to tailor the Fillchecker app to your needs.

General settings

On the General settings tab, you can select timesheet checks. The selected timesheet checks will be applied to the Time models and added to the notification message.

Currently, only the Expected daily working hours check is available, but further checks will be added soon.

Tempo API Token

Time models

With time models, you can split your team into groups based on the expected daily working hours e.g. part-time and full-time employees.

Time models are also helpful when you don’t want to send notifications for all full-time workers, e.g. managers don't have to log their working hours in Jira. In this case, you can turn off the notification on the Time model created for managers.

Hint: If you want to test notifications on a small group, then create a separate time model, and enable notificitations only on that specific group.

After installing the Fillchecker app, all users will be added to the “Default time model” — which is synchronized with your Jira time tracking settings.

By default, all users belong to this default time model, unless the user has been selected in another one. New Jira users will be also added to this Time model.

This Time model can’t be removed and all the users you remove from other time models will returned to this group.

You can check if a user is member of this time model with the help of a user searcher.

To create a new time model, simply click on the “Create new time model” button and define its name and the required hours for this model.

A Jira user can belong to a Time model. If you add it to another group, it will be removed from the previous one.

Email notifications

You can notify your team members if they didn’t complete the timesheet for the previous day. Email notifications are sent once a day. To send daily notifications, you need to turn on the notifications on the Time model.

You can send email notification via Jira Issue notification: To send a Jira notification, you need to select an issue from your Jira.

Hint: Create a general issue for this notification which is accessible for all teammembers, and include instructions for completing the timesheet e.g. Go to Timetracker app and log your work.

Custom email template setting

Using the custom email template setting, you can tailor notification messages. By adding a subject and custom message, you can share instructions with the notified members.

Hint: Users get dozens of notifications a day; try to pick a subject that stands out from the crowd. For example, using emojies or catchy subjects

Permission settings

You can customize permissions for Fillchecker settings and Reports individually.

Admin permissions

Fillchecker settings and reports are only accessible for Jira administrators by default. Here you can add other team members e.g. HR administrators, team leads etc.

Team members who are added can edit Fillchecker settings.

Reporting permissions

You can limit team members' access to the reports in reporting permissions. Jira administrators can open the reporting view at any time. Regular members can be locked out from the reporting by adding at least one member to the list (if the list is empty, all members can access the reporting).
