Here is an example of how you can configure and test the app with the new “Access limit” option.

  • You have a license with 10 user (or an evaluation license with unlimited users) applied to your Jira.

  • You should give access to 15 user to this instance. You configured these 15 users as the login group, so these user should be able to log in the Jira.

  • There are 6 administrator user that should have fix access all the time. You provide Application Access to this admin group/users and for the created/configured access group.

  • Now configure your LO’s Group mapping:

    • select your login group

    • select your access group

    • set the access limit to 7 (or a bigger number)

  • After this set up, the number of available places that the LO can provide will be controlled based on the Access Limit. In this case:

    • LO manages 7 available seats

    • there are 6 admin users configured with fix/always access

    • the app can provivide 1 seat (7-6) for every log in

You can easily try out with two (not administrator) user how our app manage access and rotate the license between the users.
