Default Cost Rates
On this page, you can define the default hourly cost rates. The default cost rate will be used in the cost calculation for users who do not have an hourly rate defined in the user cost rates table.
Default Cost Rates
On this page, you can view and manage the default hourly cost rates. You can view the existing default hourly rates in a table where the default cost rates are sorted by their effective date. If a cost rate is currently effective, it is displayed with black text color. The previous cost rates will be displayed with grey text color.
Each cost rate row has four columns in the table:
- Effective Date: The date at which this cost rate becomes effective. The cost rate remains effective until the next one becomes effective.
- Hourly rate: The default hourly rate. This value will be the cost for each hour logged in Jira by the worklog author if there is no cost defined for him/her.
- Actions: Edit and Delete action buttons.
The default cost rate will be used in the cost calculation for users who do not have an hourly rate defined in the user cost rates table.
If no single default cost rate is defined in the Default Cost Rate settings, then the number zero (0) will be used in the cost calculation for users who do not have an hourly rate defined in the user cost rates table.

Users in default rate
On this page you can filter and view users who have default hourly cost rates for a period or at all. This will help wage managers identify time periods when users do not have a specified cost rate for it and in which the reports calculate cost values with the default value.
Filters
You can filter the users with default cost rates by:
- Users: You can select users.
- Effective date: You can select a date value to display the users who do not have defined user cost rate until the selected date.
- Current: If it is checked, the table will display users who do not have defined user cost rate after the currently effective default cost rate.
