On this page, you can view and manage the default hourly cost rates. You can view the existing default hourly rates in a table where the default cost rates are sorted by their effective date. If a cost rate is currently effective, it is displayed with black text color. The previous cost rates will be displayed with grey text color.
Each cost rate row has four columns in the table:
The default cost rate will be used in the cost calculation for users who do not have an hourly rate defined in the user cost rates table.
If no single default cost rate is defined in the Default Cost Rate settings, then the number zero (0) will be used in the cost calculation for users who do not have an hourly rate defined in the user cost rates table.

On this page you can filter and view users who have default hourly cost rates for a period or at all. This will help wage managers identify time periods when users do not have a specified cost rate for it and in which the reports calculate cost values with the default value.
