We recommend keeping Timetracker up to date. If UPM can connect to the Marketplace, it will notify you when a new version of an installed app is available. Only versions that are compatible with your current application version will be displayed.
Expired license
After the expiry of the maintenance period you will no longer be able to upgrade the add-on but you will be able to continue to use versions that were earlier than the expiration date of your period. DO NOT upgrade the app if your maintenance period expired. If you are happy with our app, please renew your license for another year of support.
Updating an app
To update an app:
- Log into your Atlassian application as a user with administrative privileges.
- From the top navigation bar in your application, choose. > Add-ons or Manage apps
- Choose Action required from the drop-down menu.
- Locate the app you want to update.
- Click the Update button next to the app you want to update.
The UPM downloads and applies the latest version of the app. When finished, a success message appears.
Updating apps by file upload
Instead of updating an app automatically (that is, by using the Update button), you can update it by manually loading the updated JAR file to the application. The update procedure is identical to the one for installing by file upload. When you perform this procedure for an existing app, the old app version is removed from the file system, and the new one is added.
To update an app by file upload:
- Log into your Atlassian application as a user with administrative privileges.
- From the top navigation bar in your application, choose > Add-ons or Manage apps.
- Choose Upload add-on or Upload app.
- Locate the file then click Upload.
The app uploads and installs, and the latest version of the JAR or OBR replaces the outdated version.
