You must have the JIRA System Administrators global permission to install Timetracker for JIRA. The plugin is available for JIRA On-Premise (Server) and Jira Cloud. The plugin can be downloaded from Atlassian Marketplace or can be installed through the UPM (Universal Plugin Manager). |
Installing apps directly from the administration console
If you are connected to the Atlassian Marketplace website from your Atlassian application's administration console:
Log in as a user with the JIRA Administrators global permission.
Navigate to the Find new apps screen (Jira settings →Apps → Find new apps).
Locate Timetracker - Time Tracking & Reporting for JIRA via search.
- Click Free trial to begin a new trial or Buy now to purchase a license.
- The software will now be installed and you can activate the License.
Installing by file upload
You can install an app by uploading it to your Atlassian application:
Log in as a user with the JIRA Administrators global permission.
Navigate to the Manage apps screen (Jira settings →Apps → Manage apps).
Select the Upload app option.
Search for the downloaded file on your local machine.
Select the file to upload.
- The software will now be installed and you can add the License on your administration console.
In Jira Cloud terms, you buy an app by subscribing to it.
To find and try Timetracker apps:
- Select the Jira icon (
, 
, 
, or 
) > Jira settings > Apps. - Click Find new apps.
- Search for Timetracker.
- To try or subscribe to the app, click Free trial next to it.
If you don't terminate the trial within the trial period, a subscription for the app kicks in. Trials last for a month from the start of your next billing date. After starting a trial, you can stop it from the app administration page.
Although you can re-enable the trial within the original trial period, you can't try it again beyond the original trial period. At that point, you can only subscribe to the app from the Manage apps page.
Cancel an app subscription
To end a subscription for an app, click Unsubscribe next to the app in the Manage apps page. Canceling an app takes effect immediately, although some apps may retain functionality even after the license period ends. If you'd like to completely stop an app from appearing in the interface, you can uninstall it.
