Here is an example of how you can configure and test the app with the new “Access limit” option.
You have a license with 1000 user (or an evaluation license with unlimited users) applied to your Jira.
You should give access to 1200 user to this instance. You configured these 1200 users as the login group, so these user should be able to log in the Jira.
There are 50 admin user with fixed product acces
10 user as a potential user
access group start on 0 member
first 5 user logs in, now you have 10 users with access (5+5) and you are on the maximum seat on your 10 user license
these 5 users became inactive → nothing happens, they won’t be removed because there is no race for seats
LO see taht there are inactive users
removes one user
provide access to the new userlet's say an average of 100 users log in and use Jira per day
1 new user logs in
administrator user that should have fix access all the time. You provide Application Access to this admin group/users and for the created/configured access group.
